I was helping Christian untangle the lights for the Christmas tree. Carina snapped this picture of me wrapped up in the lights.

As we were making tamales for Christmas Eve dinner, I convinced Christian and Carina to take a picture with me in the side of the steamer pot. I like the way that it turned out. Kind of fun!

My puppy

Well, actually Cocoa is not a puppy anymore...but super lovable.

New Camera!

I got my new camera almost two weeks ago. I am so excited to get to play with it! I have just been too busy to get to yet. But I finish up finals in two days, then I will have more time.

Snow

It is has been quite a long time since I have posted anything here. Since we have seen the sights of winter, I thought it appropriate to post this picture. I took this after our first dusting of snow a few weeks ago.

Sapling Structure

At Ada Hayden park in Ames, artist Patrick Dougherty has built this free standing structure out of tree saplings. It is large enough to walk through and has many doors, windows, and rooms. Check it out...

I think that the trees with the red leaves are among my favorite.

Campus

The campanile on campus. They play chimes every 15 minutes and a song at noon. I love it!

I love all of the old buildings on campus.

Most important

Most important...is the cross and what Jesus did to save me. He is life, truth, grace, and love.

Resting

I found these geese and swans at the lake on campus. I think that they were resting on their way South for the winter.

Light and Darkness
